Statement to Public Opinion on the Gaza Events

The Syrian Democratic Council follows the dangerous developments and tragic events in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian catastrophe it is experiencing and condemns in the strongest terms the horrific massacres committed against civilians since the seventh of October until today, the latest of which was the brutal targeting of the Baptist Hospital.

The Syrian Democratic Council, while expressing its deep sadness and deep regret over the loss of innocent lives and expressing its condolences to the families of the victims, stresses the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, to take effective measures to stop the escalation, to stop the bloodshed, not to target civilians, and to adhere to the highest degree of commitment to human rights and international humanitarian law. It stresses the need to strive to revive the peace process and the importance of implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy that affirm the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the creation of Through solidarity and joint efforts, a better future for the region can be built and human dignity for all can be preserved.
