Statement from the Information Office of the Syrian Democratic Council

Our centre in the city of Qamishli, on the night of February 26, was subjected to a terrorist attack by unknown assailants who threw an explosive device into the wall of the building. The damage was limited to the material side, and the Internal Security Forces are investigating the attack and tracking down the perpetrators. We condemn this attack in the strongest terms and affirm that the parties behind this attack aim to undermine our national positions of promoting dialogue at the internal level in order to achieve a democratic transition in the country. We assure public opinion that any attack will not deter us from continuing our efforts to achieve the goals we believe in and that we will continue our struggle until the political stability that the Syrians envision is achieved.
